How to change your iPhone name (hotspot, Bluetooth and AirDrop)
Your hotspot, Bluetooth and AirDrop name are all the same thing: your iPhone’s name. Change it once and all three update.
The fix
Rename your iPhone

Open Settings and tap General.

Tap About, then Name.
- 3
Delete the old name, type the new one and tap Done.
What the new name changes
- Personal Hotspot network name that others see in Wi-Fi.
- Bluetooth name shown on cars, speakers and headphones.
- AirDrop name shown to people sending you files.
- The device name in Find My, iCloud and on your Mac or PC.

How do I change my hotspot name on iPhone?
There is no separate hotspot name. The hotspot uses your iPhone’s name, so change it in Settings › General › About › Name.
Why do devices disconnect from my hotspot after renaming?
The network name changed, so laptops and tablets no longer recognize it. Reconnect them to the new name with the same hotspot password.
