How to change your phone number on iPhone
The number comes from your carrier. After it changes, a few iPhone settings need updating.
The fix
After you get the new number

Restart the iPhone with the new SIM or eSIM active.

Fix the label in Settings › Apps › Phone › My Number.

Choose the number in Messages › Send & Receive.

Choose it in FaceTime too.

Update your Apple Account phone number in Sign-In & Security.
Frequently asked questions
Why does My Number show the wrong number?
It is only a label. Edit it in Settings › Apps › Phone › My Number. Your real number comes from the SIM.
What about two factor codes?
Update the number in your bank, email and social apps before you lose the old one, or codes will stop arriving.
